Magda – Linda Kiemel
Soprano Linda Kiemel is in demand as
soloist for both opera and oratorio throughout the Washington area. She has appeared recently as Mimi in
Puccini’s la Boheme, as
Inez in Donizetti’s La Faorita,
Leonora in Il Trovatore, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro,
Gianetta in L'elisir d'amore,
and many others. As a member of the Washington National Opera Chorus, she has appeared
in many WNO productions, including Maid of Orleans, Sampson and Delilah,
I Vespri Sicilliani, and Macbeth. She will be appearing as soprano
soloist in Mendellsohn’s Elijah
in June.

Ruggero – Michael Talley
American tenor Michael
Talley earned his master's degree in vocal performance from The Catholic
University of Amerca. He has been a member of the Washington National Opera Chorus for
many years, and appeared in dozens of productions with WNO at the Kennedy
Center, including the recent productions of Le Nozze di Figaro,
and Turandot.
Michael has performed numerous lead roles with local companies including, "The Prince" in
The Student Prince, 'Pinkerton" in Madame Butterfly,
"Don Octavio" in Don Giovanni,
and "Alfredo" in La traviata. He also premiered as "Aegisthus" in
Andrew Simpson's Agammemnon.

Lisette – Delia
Zielinski
Lyric coloratura soprano Delia Zielinski is a versatile performer
of opera, art song, musical theatre and jazz. She has performed widely in
the Mid-Atlantic area, including companies such as Annapolis Opera, the
Mount Vernon Players, Center Stage Opera (PA), Studio Theatre (u/s),
Montgomery Playhouse, OutOfTheBlackBox Theatre Co., and the DC
Playwright's Forum, as well as recitals at the Levine School of Music and
the Martin Luther King Library Music Series. In 2006 she was a
featured performer with the Johnny Mercer Music Festival in Savannah,
GA. Ms. Zielinski holds a BA from Trinity University in
Texas. In addition, she is a graduate of the Studio Theatre Acting
Conservatory in Washington, DC, and has studied voice and music at the
Oxenfoord International School in St. Andrews, Scotland, the Crittenden
Opera Studio in DC and with Mr. Anastasios Vrenios. She has performed in
master classes with mezzo-soprano Ann Murray, soprano Faith Esham, and
baritone Ryan Edwards.

Prunier – John Turner
American tenor John Turner has appeared in forty
operas with many local opera companies.
He sang the role of Ottavio in last year’s Riverbend production of
Don Giovani. He has also performed Basilio and Don
Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro,
and appeared in supporting roles as Marcelo in Vives zarzuela Bohemios, as First Man in Maurice Saylor's
Express-A Bus Ride, as Gastone in la Traviata, Léon in
Signor Deluso, Vendador and Colonel
in Luisa Fernanda, Lope in El barberillo de Lavapies, El Rato
in El duo de la Africana, and many
others. As an oratorio soloist he has appeared in Mozart's Requiem,
Faure's Requiem, and Messiah.
A performance member of
the Washington’s Friday Morning Music Club, he has also performed with
The In Series, Summer Opera Theater Company, Belcantanti Opera, Opera Bel
Canto, Zarzuela DiSi, Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Southwest Chamber
Players, and others.

Rambaldo – Sean Pflueger
Sean Pflueger, bass, is an active performer with many opera companies in
the Washington area including Washington Savoyards, Bel Cantanti Opera,
Loudoun Lyric Opera, and The In Series.
Recently, he performed the role Pish-Tush in Washington Savoyard’s
The Mikado and Bass Soloist singing many of Mozart great Bass roles in
The In Series and Washington Ballet’s join production, WAM: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mr. Pflueger has also performed the
roles of Sarastro in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, The Count in Sousa’s
Desiree, Bob in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief, ,
Il Comendatore in Mozart’s Don
Giovanni, Pooh-Bah in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado, Mars in Offenbach’s Orpheus and the Underworld, Alcindoro/Benoit in Puccini’s La Boheme, Chevalier in Victor Herbert’s Madeleine,
Betto and Master Spinelloccio/Amatio di Nicolao in Puccini’s Gianni
Schicchi, and St. Peter in
Penhorwood’s Too Many Sopranos. He will appear in an original
production Romance from Broadway to
Lincoln Center with Loudoun Lyric Opera in August. Sean also appeared
with the Washington National Opera chorus in their production of Wagner’s
Gotterdammerung in 2009.

Bianca / 'A Voice' – Alisa Kieffer
Alisa
Kieffer, soprano, is a
brand new James Madison University alum. Her recent work with the
Washington Savoyards includes Scott Joplin's Treemonisha and
Gilbet & Sullivan's Trial by Jury.
Alisa has also appeared in Mozart's Cosi
fan tutte (Despina, JMU), Handel's Acis
and Galatea (Staunton Music Festival), Puccini'sSuor Angelica (Suor Osmina, Operafestival di Roma), Ibert's Angelique (Angelique, JMU), Lehar's The
Merry Widow (Valencienne
cover, Grisette Girl, JMU), Handel's Semele
(Staunton Music Festival),
Edward Penhordwood's Too Many Sopranos (Miss
Titmouse, Virginia Concert Opera Theater), Mozart's The

Yvette / 'A Voice' – Mary Ann Vandermark
Mary
Ann Vandermark,
soprano, is a member of the Washington National Opera chorus, and appeared
most recently in Turandot. Other companies she has sung with are
Summer Opera Theater Company, including Il
Trovatore, Tosca, and Carmen;
and Arizona Opera Company, including Turandot,
Un ballo in maschera, Carmen, Don Carlo, The Merry Widow, Dialogues of the
Carmelites, Madame Butterfly, La Traviata, L'Elisir d'Amore, Tosca, Pearl
Fishers, The Mikado, La Boheme, and Cosi fan tutte. Ms. Vandermark additionally sang as a soloist for various
oratorio works with The Mormon Choir of Washington DC, and has toured as an
opera chorister in Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary. She also
was the first place winner in the local NATS competition for the Continuing
Education category.
